Deepak Parekh is an esteemed Indian businessman and the Chairman of Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), India's leading private housing development finance institution in Mumbai. With a remarkable academic background and experience at Ernst & Young, Grindlays Bank, and Chase Manhattan Bank, Parekh joined HDFC in 1978 and played a pivotal role in its success. He has also held leadership positions at Infrastructure Development Finance Company Ltd (IDFC) and is associated with prestigious organizations such as Glaxo India Ltd, Burroughs Wellcome (India) Ltd, Castrol India Limited, Fairfax India Holdings Corporation, Siemens Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra, Indian Hotels Company, and SingTel.
